Key Lime Customs is owned and operated by Windermere resident Coert Voorhees. Born in Buffalo, Coert moved with his family at age 9 to Orlando and grew up boating on the great waterways of Central Florida. After graduation from Evans High School, Coert joined the U.S. Army, serving both stateside and in South Korea and upon return from military service earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from University of Central Florida. After 15 years in the financial services industry, he founded Key Lime Customs with the goal of restoring and customizing pontoon boats. The business has since grown and expanded to a full-service shop that works on all makes and styles of boats (including jet skis) and all manufacturers of engines. An active member (and past president) of the Windermere Rotary Club, Coert enjoys cheering on the UCF Knights, international travel, spending time with family and, of course, boating! He lives in the heart of Windermere with his wife Heather, young daughter Kalina, and dog Stella.
